Calisphere Themed Collectons

Calisphere Themed Collections help teachers quickly and easily find primary sources that support the K-12 California Content Standards in History-Social Science, English-Language Arts, and Visual Arts. Each primary source set includes a brief overview that provides historical context. Photographs, Documents, Political cartoons, Newspaper clippings, Adversiting, Works of art, and other cultural artifacts can be found here.

San Diego's Center for Educational Technology

Great site for ideas on how to infuse technology into a standards-based curriculum. "The focus is on using technology tools to enhance and support teaching while helping students develop digital literacy to meet state content standards and learn 21st century skiills. Professional development opportunities providing learning with information and technology, rather than learning about technology."

SCORE: School of California Online Resources for Educators Project

SCORE: Mathematics

Lessons are written for math teachers and students in California and reflect both the Mathematics Standards and NCTM Standards. Lessons are organized by strands, with links to specific standards, K-7 and 8-12.

SCORE: Science

Lessons are grouped by four major topics (life, earth and space sciences, physical science, and environmental science) and ranked by grade level. A new interactive multimedia site has just been introduced by Humboldt Office of Education.

SCORE: History/Social Science

This site, designed by San Bernardino County Office of Schools, contains over 5000 websites aligned to California's History/Social Science curriculum.

SCORE: Language Arts

Teachers will find cyberguides (standards-based, web-delivered units of instruction) centered on core works of literature, an activity bank, as well as phonics links on this site.
